Office and Store Assistant

The Office & Store Assistant provides day-to-day administrative, customer service, and store support. This role assists with front office duties, basic marketing coordination, inventory support, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

This position supports office operations and store activities by handling reception duties, assisting customers, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping maintain efficient store and administrative processes. The role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and support multiple departments.

Responsiblities and Duties:

  • Responsible for following company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and positive image.
  • Responsible for answering telephone calls in a pleasant and professional manner, efficiently transferring calls to appropriate personnel, and recording messages.
  • Responsible for greeting and welcoming customers, suppliers, and business associates, providing support with product inquiries and service.
  • Responsible for assisting with selling and servicing customers, with overall store maintenance and appearance, and for having a good understanding of all store products.
  • Responsible for operation, knowledge and maintenance of telephone and voice mail systems, fax machines, photocopiers, postage machine and other office-related equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting with general office equipment maintenance with service providers.
  • Responsible for providing general administrative support including filing, data entry, document preparation and basic accounting support.
  • Responsible for assisting with scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting setup for internal staff and guests/visitors/business partners.
  • Responsible for maintaining office organization, including front desk and common areas.
  • Responsible for assisting with inventory counts, product organization, and stocking shelves.
  • Responsible for supporting receiving, labeling, and basic tracking of products.
  • Responsible for assisting with coordinating customer orders and deliveries.
  • Responsible for assisting with in-store promotions, displays, and customer engagement activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining a well-organized, tidy workspace.
  • Maintains knowledge of and executes all Company Policies and Procedures as required by the organization and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains and always represents a professional and positive image for the company.
  • Functions as a team member.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, including holiday relief.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of administrative, retail, or customer service experience.
  • Agricultural background is an asset but not required.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Office administration or customer service training is an asset.
  • Possess Pesticide Dispenser Certificate, Veterinary Drug Dispensers Certificate and forklift operator certificate or must acquire within three (3) months of commencing employment.

Salary Range: $41,650 – $45,476
